How to Type Quotation Marks & Apostrophes on a ThinkPad X1 Carbon

Straight quotation marks (") and apostrophes (') look unnatural.

This website is text heavy and typography plays a significant role in how it looks.

I use Arch Linux on a Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon with a Swedish keyboard. Here’s how to type curly quotation marks on this machine.

• AltGr + b gives you opening double quote: “
• AltGr + n gives you closing double quote: ”
• AltGr + Shift + b gives you an opening single quote: ‘
• AltGr + Shift + n gives you an closing single quote: ’

Of course, using a decent font that takes care of quotation marks for you is also an option.
